The world of birds of prey (Alain Ghion): Falconry shows:
Falconry has existed and been practiced for thousands of years. However, it wasn't until the Middle Ages that it really took off. Still practiced today, falconry has been recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site. A passionate and expert falconer for many years, Alain Ghion will introduce you to his magnificent birds of prey, including owls, eagles, buzzards, falcons, caracaras, and more, for your viewing pleasure. Come admire them in free flight, soaring over the majestic ruins of the Château de La Roche-en-Ardenne.

LUDOTIUM: Working with wool
Working with Wool: Are you curious about sheep's wool? How was it used? How was it processed? What tools were used to transform it?
Fleece cleaning, combing, spindle spinning, comb weaving and even card weaving are on the program for this activity, which takes you back to the 13th and 14th centuries.
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: History of fibers and spinning (short game to recognize plant and animal fibers + spinning demonstration)
1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.: Plant dyeing (history of plants, presentation of plants/colors and wool dyeing).
3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.: Weaving (presentation of different crafts and mini initiation).

THE IRON WOLVES: Coin Minting

Coin Minting: Our coin minter will introduce you to the process of minting hard cash. If you love crafts, history, and money, then look no further—this event is for you.
Parents, there is a rumor that this activity influences children to study economics.

UNICORN COMPANY: The Armament

You will be able to discover, touch and who knows, try on weapons, helmets, chainmail, axes, swords, etc. Where do they come from, why this shape? A range through the Middle Ages and its evolutions.

THE NAMUROIS ALFERS: Flag throwing.

The game of flags has military origins. In the armies of the 16th and 17th centuries, each infantry company had a specific flag entrusted to an officer: the ensign. During parades, the ensign would "play the flag." The game was considered a true art. The traditional Namur game played with large flags does not feature thrown figures like its Italian counterparts. However, since 2007, a second, more aerial game has been developed, allowing Alfers to throw their flags in several possible ways.
